Carolina Deals Van Brocklin to Houston for Vasquez Monday, August 23rd , 2055 The Stingrays and Astros have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with 23-year old minor league RHP Mike Van Brocklin going to Houston in exchange for 36-year old RHP Jon Vasquez. In 49 relief appearances this year, Vasquez has thrown 55 innings, struck out 52 and collected 23 saves. His won-lost record is 5-6 with a 2.78 ERA. |
