Setback for Atlanta and Jimmy DiJulio Friday, August 22nd , 2059 Jimmy DiJulio's return to the Atlanta Braves has been delayed. The 27-year-old reliever has been in treatment for a strained biceps and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and DiJulio will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least 2 weeks. To date, DiJulio has collected 7 saves in 38 relief appearances. He has rung up 36 strikeouts and 18 walks in 52.2 innings while registering a 2.56 ERA and a 4-1 won-lost record. |
