Lookouts Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
|
Tulsa got a valiant performance from pitcher Eric Findlay, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chattanooga Lookouts. Chattanooga won the game, 4-3. Findlay threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The win was credited to Franklin Cappiello in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Eric Neil took the loss. Jayden Thornton picked up the save, his 8th.
Matt Murry came through with a big-time hit for Chattanooga. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
After the game, Chattanooga manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The Lookouts win now puts them at 39-30.
