The Midland RockHounds went home winners at Regions Field, thanks in large part to starter Ovadyahu Daigle. Daigle stifled the Birmingham Barons, enabling Midland to grab the 4-0 win. The third-place RockHounds are now 32-26, the Barons 31-27.
Ed Morel had a direct impact on the outcome. Morel contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Midland up, 1-0.
"Ovadyahu gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Midland skipper .
