Ripley Lifts Hooks to 15-9 Triumph
Ed Ripley was the difference-maker for the Corpus Christi Hooks in what turned into a shootout with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Ripley went 3-for-5 in the 15-9 Hooks win. Hector Ruis, now 2-3, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. With the win, Corpus Christi pushed its record to 24-23.
