Shuckers Absorb 8-3 Loss at Security Bank Ballpark
|
The Midland RockHounds beat the Biloxi Shuckers, 8-3, at Security Bank Ballpark. Midland right fielder Jaime Bills led the way. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Jim Hull, who threw 88 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. With the win, the RockHounds improved to 19-17.
Making an impact for the home team was Eric Hollen. In the bottom of the sixth, the 26-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, RockHounds.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bills.
