Shuckers Get 5-2 Win Versus Jackson
Biloxi pitcher Mike Scherf had a large part in his team beating the Jackson Generals, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bret Green finished the game for Biloxi and earned his 5th save. The win puts the Shuckers at 12-19, while the Generals drop to 8-23.

Ramon Munoz had a big 3-run home run for the Shuckers in the bottom of the third inning. With Biloxi leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Klein and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shuckers ahead, 5-0.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Scherf.
