Padres Spill Nationals, 5-1
|
San Diego Padres pitcher Ethan Loewen whisked his team past the Washington Nationals, 5-1. Washington drops to 13-12.
Oliver Burton, who finished 5th in the NL in triples with 7 in 2058, helped out the San Diego cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman drove in one run.
"I thought Ethan threw the ball well across the board," said San Diego manager Tim Spray.
