The Amarillo Sod Poodles picked up a win at Regions Field, downing the Birmingham Barons, 10-3. On the mound for Amarillo was right-hander Steve Schlanger, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Amarillo boosts its record to 7-15.

Third Baseman Josh Jackson made an impact for Amarillo, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jimmy McGraw in the top of the second. For the contest, Jackson went 1-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
