Blue Wahoos Come Back Late to Top Hooks, 6-4
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Corpus Christi designated hitter Joe Parker by beating the Hooks, 6-4, at Whataburger Field. Parker was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. Pensacola reliever Frank Arguinzoni was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Mike Fleming. The save was credited to Pat Chappel, his 3rd.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jose Molina came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Corpus Christi pitcher Mike Fleming, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Pensacola on top, 6-4.

Molina told a Pensacola News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Losses have been few and far between for the Hooks, who are now 16-7.
