The Chicago White Sox topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-4, in American League action at SouthSide. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Luis Cota. Toronto is 15-11 after the loss.

The White Sox got a big at-bat from shortstop Jeremy Sommer. For the game, Sommer was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chicago a 3-1 lead.

"Luis pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Chicago manager Ken Hanson.
