Tennessee designated hitter Eric Taylor had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Taylor was 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs, even as Tulsa beat the Smokies, 6-5, in 10 innings. Andy Zazueta snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Andy Burg suffered the loss. The win moves Tulsa to a record of 1-4.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Tulsa designated hitter Andres Aguilar, facing Andy Burg, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Drillers the 6-5 win.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Aguilar.
