Cardinals Take Down Barons, 4-3
|
The Springfield Cardinals faced a tenacious opponent in Birmingham pitcher Danny Murillo, but still scratched out a win at Hammons Field by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Murillo went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The loss drops Birmingham to 1-2.
The Cardinals got a clutch hit from right fielder Matt Flagg. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cardinals.
