Late Heroics Net Mariners 8-7 Win
|
The Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
It took 11 innings, but the Seattle Mariners were able to beat the Boston Red Sox, 8-7, at T-Mobile Park. Chris Graham provided some offensive muscle for Seattle. He went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the loss, Boston drops to 6-7.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Seattle trailing 7-6, Graham jumped on a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher A.J. Ketron and hit a 2-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Mariners had a walk-off win.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Graham.
