Phillies Rack Up 3-0 Win Versus Cincinnati
|
The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a win at Citzen Bank Field, topping the Cincinnati Reds, 3-0. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Dave Davis. He played a principal role in the triumph. Joe Campanaro earned the save for Philadelphia, his 1st of the year. The win leaves Philadelphia with a record of 7-2.
Danny Arlington had a big run-scoring double for the Phillies in the bottom of the first inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Josh Lockhart and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phillies ahead, 2-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Larry Link. "That was the problem."
