Rockies Collect 6-5 Win Over Mets
The Colorado Rockies needed 10 innings to beat the New York Mets, 6-5, at The Beer Can. The win was due in part to shortstop Ben Ayotte, who was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times. Jared Holt claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Colorado, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.

The Rockies got a clutch hit from second baseman Bobby Steinke. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rockies.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Kenneth Rosario.
