Late Rally Earns Houston 3-2 Win
The Houston Astros, despite a fine performance by Cleveland pitcher Joe Becraft, grabbed a 3-2 win at Arhaus. Becraft allowed 2 runs over 5.2 innings. The win belonged to Pat Bartsch in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kody Jackson took the loss for Cleveland. Jake Chrisp, who finished 2nd in the AL in saves with 43 last year, nailed down the save.

Houston used the timely hitting of Jimmy Mellion to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Astros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Mellion. "I like it."

The win takes Houston to 3-3.
