Sea Dogs Go Down to Defeat, 4-1
|
The Harrisburg Senators knocked off the Portland Sea Dogs, 4-1, in Eastern League action at FNB Field. Harrisburg pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Dan Pennington had an outstanding performance. Pennington picked up the win for Harrisburg, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Harrisburg is now 7-3.
Tied up with the Sea Dogs in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Senators got a boost from first baseman Chris Brown. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Brown saw a full count fastball from Tim Habermehl and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Harrisburg on top, 2-1.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Pennington.
