White Sox Need Extra Innings to Top Bobcats, 10-6
|
No one was more impactful than Pete McMillen in the 10-6 Chicago win over Cleveland. McMillen was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Chicago reliever Jim Bowers picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kody Jackson took the loss. The loss drops Cleveland to 1-1.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until McMillen delivered big-time for Chicago, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off Kody Jackson. The game-changing hit put the White Sox on top, 7-6.
McMillen told the Chicago Times: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
