Good production from third baseman Chris Forse helped the Altoona Curve topple the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 6-5. Forse was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for the Curve. Steve Martinelli picked up the save for Altoona, his 18th of the year. The second-place Curve bumped their record to 77-56.
Forse broke a deadlock in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single, putting Altoona up, 6-5.
In postgame comments to the Altoona Gazette, Forse said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
