Extra-Inning Win by Senators Over Flying Squirrels
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at The Diamond.
The Harrisburg Senators used a stellar performance from pitcher Joe de Jesus to throttle the Richmond offense en route to an extra-inning, 4-2 win at The Diamond. Harrisburg now sports a record of 82-53.
Harrisburg used the timely hitting of Steve Barnett to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Senators on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Richmond manager .
