Yard Goats Win, 4-2, Versus Harrisburg
|
The Hartford Yard Goats trumped the Harrisburg Senators, 4-2, at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Hartford designated hitter Phil Buffa was terrific. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. The Yard Goats are now 63-70, while the Senators fall to 89-44.
Hartford took a 4-1 lead on Mike Cornejo's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Cornejo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Harrisburg pitcher Franklin Herrea visibly frustrated.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cornejo told the Hartford Chronicle.
