Shipman Stars in 8-7 Win for Richmond
Richmond second baseman Kevin Shipman had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Reading Fightin Phils, 8-7. Richmond now sports a record of 57-58.

In the top of the eighth, Shipman put his team in front with his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Eric Tufts, made it 8-5, Richmond.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Shipman told the Richmond Times.
