Flying Squirrels Win by Slim Margin, 6-5
Richmond beat Binghamton at The Diamond, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Sean Bowlin. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Richmond reliever Eddie Collett picked up the win to move to 5-8. Kymani Troutman suffered the loss. Richmond, now 52-54, holds down third place in the Eastern League Western Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ruben Bermudez in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tristan Giese to win the game for Richmond. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was rockin'," Bermudez said.
