SeaWolves Rally to Eke Out Win
|
In a tight tilt between Erie and Akron, pitcher John Clavell was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 2-1 SeaWolves win. The SeaWolves raised their record to 53-55.
Gabe Rees, who is tied for 9th in the EL in stolen bases with 20, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rees contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Erie up, 2-1.
"Exhilarating win," said Rees.
