Big Day for Rawson in 5-3 Thunder Win
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Trenton Thunder and Erie SeaWolves.
The Trenton Thunder beat the Erie SeaWolves, 5-3, at Arm & Hammer Park. Trenton catcher Steve Rawson had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Dan Kamada, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Gerald Baldwin was credited with the save for Trenton, his 4th of the season.
Rawson had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Thunder went on to win.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Rawson.
The Thunder move to 51-45 with the win, while the SeaWolves drop to 48-48.
