The Trenton Thunder firmly defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 14-2, at UPMC Park. The Trenton offense was lit. Dan Boomsma, for one, had a solid game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Thunder. Armin Schoeeser, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Trenton now has a record of 48-33 with the win.

In the top of the seventh, the Thunder grabbed the lead when Boomsma hit his 6th home run of the season. The solo home run off John Clavell made it 3-2, Trenton.
