RubberDucks Lose, 6-4, in 10
|
Gil Burks was instrumental in his team's 6-4, extra-inning triumph over the Akron RubberDucks. The left fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Harrisburg Senators. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Devin Hakes. The second-place Senators sport a record of 43-34.
The most important at-bat for Harrisburg came in the top of the tenth inning, when shortstop Angel Vasquez stroked a 0-1 fastball to right-center for a run-scoring single, putting Harrisburg up, 5-4.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Burks.
