SeaWolves Take Home 4-3 Win Over Reading
|
The Erie SeaWolves knocked off the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-3, in Eastern League action at UPMC Park. Erie pitcher and Pimentel, Dominican Republic, native Victor Lopez had an outstanding performance. The winner was Lopez. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Ralph Peternek. The save went to Phil Murray, his 14th this season.
With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Mike Feltz hit a go-ahead, 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and with it the SeaWolves took a 3-1 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Feltz said.
With this game in the books, Erie is 35-41, Reading 39-37.
