SeaWolves Shut Out Senators, 3-0
|
The SeaWolves grabbed a win, 3-0, at UPMC Park, overcoming a fine effort from Harrisburg pitcher Tommie Bright. Bright went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Rich Davidson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Earning his 11th save for Erie was Dave Stevenson.
In the bottom of the seventh, Erie third baseman Jaylen Batten hit a run-scoring single to left field. The clutch hit made it 1-0, SeaWolves.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Batten.
The SeaWolves move to 32-33 with the win, while the Senators drop to 43-22.
