Baysox Earn Win with Late Rally
|
Jeremy Corbett was locked in. The right-hander led the Bowie Baysox to a 4-3 win against the Altoona Curve at Prince George's Stadium. The winner was Joel Gebo in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jimmy Leary took the loss. The third-place Baysox hiked their record to 27-26.
Dan McCarthy was the walk-off hero for Bowie. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Baysox designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"That last inning was electric," McCarthy said.
