Royals Subdue Cleveland, 6-5
|
Arhaus was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Bobcats.
Cleveland center fielder Josh Taylor had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bobcats dropped a 6-5 decision to Kansas City at Arhaus. Taylor went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kevin Dodson, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-4. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The save went to Chris Stock, number 29 for him.
Micah Farr had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the fourth for Kansas City. With the bases loaded and the Royals leading 5-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Farr told the Kansas City Bulletin.
Cleveland has now lost 4 straight.
