Royals Win, 4-0, Over Cleveland
|
Jeff Drougas imposed his will on the Bobcats from the get-go. Relying mainly on his cutter, the left-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Kansas City triumph. Drougas, the winner, moves to 7-6. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Kansas City is now 71-83.
Kansas City used the hitting of Bert Stevenson to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Royals on top, 4-0. For the game, Stevenson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Drougas said.
