The Baltimore Orioles topped the Texas Rangers, 3-2, in American League action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore center fielder Mike Hummel. The last-place Orioles bumped their record to 59-94.

Had Alex Molina not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Molina hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Orioles.

Said losing manager Nate Reichard: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
