It took 10 innings, but the Bowie Baysox were able to beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 5-3, at The Diamond. ATL Pope provided some offensive muscle for Bowie. He went 5-5 with 5 singles. Andy Christensen earned the save for Bowie, his 1st of the year. The last-place Baysox now have a win-loss record of 14-32.

Bowie used the timely hitting of Dan Fronk to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Baysox on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Fronk.
