Toronto starter Sam Bazydlo put the Los Angeles offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his curveball in leading the Blue Jays to a 7-1 win. Getting the save was Jared Holt, his 3rd. After today's action, Toronto sits at 84-65; Los Angeles slips to 87-62.

Toronto used the timely hitting of Dave Rogers to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Rogers told the Toronto Chronicle.
