Cleveland Loss Diminishes Haro Performance
Cleveland left fielder Tony Haro was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Detroit beat the Bobcats, 9-8. With the win, Detroit has a record of 62-85. Cleveland falls to 49-97.

The Tigers got a big hit from designated hitter Joey Standefer. Facing Cleveland pitcher Curt Cann in the bottom of the fifth, Standefer pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 34th double of the season put the Tigers ahead, 9-2.

"We ground out the win," said Standefer. "That's all that matters."
