3-2 Win Sends Harrisburg to 28-16
|
Led by Jeff Vitale, the Harrisburg Senators downed the Reading Fightin Phils, 3-2. Vitale was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Senators. The save went to Dan Cielo, his 6th this season. Harrisburg has a record of 28-16, placing them second in the Eastern League Western Division.
Had Vitale not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Vitale hit a run-scoring single. The Senators took the lead, 3-2, and never looked back.
After the game, Harrisburg manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
