Victory Takes Phillies to 72-61
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitcher Josh Kehoe was outstanding. The Philadelphia right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the NL in wins with 11, propelled his team's 1-0 win. Kehoe, the winner, moves to 11-7. He threw 5.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. The first-place Phillies now have a win-loss record of 72-61.
Steve DeMarco had a direct impact on the outcome. DeMarco contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Philadelphia up, 1-0.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," DeMarco said.
