Minnesota first baseman Steve Speas helped his team beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-2. Speas, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2052, went 1 for 2 for the Twins. Willie Perez, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins with 16 in 2054, was the winner. He's now 10-5. The loser was Curt LaFrance. The Twins move to 75-55 with the win, while the Cardinals drop to 48-83.

Tyler Givens, who led the AL in doubles with 53 in 2056, came through for Minnesota with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
