The Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 8-4, at Hadlock Field. Portland right fielder Luis Pena had a superb performance. He went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Jon Hines earned the save for Portland, his 2nd of the year. Today's win puts Portland at 25-20, while Richmond falls to 20-25.

Dave Burgess, the Portland second baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 2-0, Sea Dogs. For the game, Burgess went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
