Fisher Cats Lose, 11-9, in 10
|
Despite a great performance by New Hampshire first baseman Josh Swarts, the Harrisburg Senators defeated the Fisher Cats by the score of 11-9 in 10 innings at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Swarts went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. Steve Henry, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1 innings. The second-place Senators now sit at 24-19.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Jimmy Powell came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing New Hampshire pitcher C.J. Hoeth, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Harrisburg on top, 10-9.
"Wild game," said Powell after it ended.
