Flying Squirrels Pull Off Thrilling 4-3 Win in Extras
The Richmond Flying Squirrels withstood a fine game by Portland left fielder Alex Rodriguez at Hadlock Field, to upend the Sea Dogs, 4-3. Rodriguez slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Richmond reliever Eddie Collett picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Jon Hines was saddled with the loss. So far in 2060, Richmond is 20-21.

Brad Pretlow had a direct impact on the outcome. Pretlow contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the 11th inning to put Richmond up, 4-3.

Said Pretlow: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
