The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at The Big Apple, knocking off the New York Mets, 9-1. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Kyler Stout Jr.. He played a key role in the triumph. The victory gives Chicago a record of 66-58.
Kyler Stout Jr. was masterful. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Kenneth Rosario.
