Houston beat Toronto on the strength of starting pitcher Chris Elston's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. With the victory, the Astros upped their record to 63-63.
Dan Lewis hit a run-scoring triple off Sam Bazydlo in the bottom of the first, which put the Astros in front, 1-0. Lewis had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
