Bobcats Suffer 3-2 Home Loss
|
Los Angeles Angels starter Josh Dixon was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Cleveland Bobcats, 3-2. Dixon, now 10-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Victor Cirilo got the save, his 35th in 40 chances.
The Angels got a big at-bat from designated hitter Adan Tabet. For the game, Tabet went 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 3-2 lead.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Los Angeles manager Cameron Angels GM. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
The win puts Los Angeles at 81-42 this season.
