Yankees Rally to Win
|
The New York Yankees faced a tough opponent in Toronto pitcher Butch Ball, but still scratched out a win at Yankee Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Ball went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Josh Plasencia snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. C.J. Lee suffered the loss. The Yankees now have a record of 64-51 with the win over Toronto.
The Yankees got a clutch hit from shortstop Kyle Horton. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Yankees.
Horton described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
