UPMC Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Erie SeaWolves starter Joe Peters turned in a top-notch performance against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at UPMC Park. The result was a win for the SeaWolves, 2-0. Dave Galvan closed it out for his 3rd save.

With scoring opportunities rare, the SeaWolves had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when catcher Javon Sheats hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Alexis Lopez and made the score 2-0, SeaWolves. Sheats was 2-4 with 2 singles.

"Joe is a tough competitor," said Erie manager .

Erie, at 10-26, occupies last place in the Eastern League Western Division.
