Royals Find a Way to Win
The Kansas City Royals faced a tenacious opponent in Texas pitcher Joe Holton, but still scratched out a win at Globe Life Field by a final score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Holton went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The Royals raised their record to 52-53.

With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the ninth inning, right fielder Dave Mann delivered big for the Royals. Kansas City was trailing 4-1 when he belted a 3-run home run.
