Almost There: Milwaukee On Cusp of DS Triumph After 11-5 Win
|
Atlanta shortstop Robby Fitzhugh pounded Milwaukee Brewers pitchers at Miller Park, but it was not enough to keep the Braves from falling, 11-5, in Game 4 of the Division Series. Fitzhugh hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, though he couldn't keep the Braves from slipping to a 3-1 deficit in the best-of-7 series.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Tamrat Nmeregini barreled up a fastball from Bobby Basham. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Brewers in front, 11-2.
"We aren't quitting," Atlanta manager Regan Sink said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
